E Pluribus Unum!

Like most Americans, I love my country and I’m proud of the revolutionary vision that Thomas Jefferson and our esteemed founding fathers and mothers had in the forefront of their minds when they revolted against the many injustices of a tyrannical and oppressive government, thereby creating, signing and enacting the Declaration of Independence in 1776 and birthing a nation. These were great men and woman, built of courage, foresight, purpose and vision, entrusted with enacting, upholding and protecting the highest ideals of our human nature and the fundamental, self evident truths of “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness” with assurance of human rights and fundamental freedoms for all, without regard or distinction as to race, sex, language or religion...

(As a side note, I don't see these truths as being self evident in America today, nor in reality, believe they have ever “really” been evident, despite our founding fathers (and mothers) best intentions and higher aspirations. That's just patriotic bullshit for our "history" books to keep little junior towing the line for the rest of his god fearing life. Even Thomas Jefferson was a slave owner. Actually, one of the biggest of that time. He was also under a mountain of debt, hence the slaves, which perpetually paid off the debt. Pretty vicious cycle, not to mention, a whole bunch of Mulatto's running around Montecello that need supportin', so let's be honest. I really don't see these truths existing anywhere in the world today on a level that is revolutionary, remarkable or truly, earth shatteringly impactful, beyond some vague, vain and futile attempts by and at humanity via front page human interest stories, that disguise our true ignorance, apathy and inhumanity, or play on our fears, whilst being utilized by smiling politicians, rakish global leaders, vile religious potentates or evil mega banks and conglomerates to buy a vote, sell a magazine, steal your money, hawk a pill, build a bomb, gain a zealot, or chop down trees to make more toilet paper, so some idiot with a gun can wipe his ass in oblivion, while a foreigners house and family gets blown up on network TV, and we can feel slightly better about the inner humanity in ourselves and the putrid lies, piss, shit, puke and evil we are swallowing on a hourly basis, etc, etc, etc...but...I digress, and that's a whole other story.

We are killing, raping, murdering, starving and pillaging each other with wanton abandon, in record numbers, despite our best intentions, Business as usual. All in the name of profit, sanctity and the power elite. It's just we are more politically correct about it, which, I guess is nice. Except those guys that chop off heads for their social media content and to make a statement. Not so nice :-(...). I'm not saying there are not millions of people living, working and dying everyday to make the world a much better place, it just needs to materialize at the 7.5 billion people level. It needs to materialize immediately as a fucking EXTINCTION LEVEL EVENT of global and planetary self awareness proportions. It needs to happen en masse, no questions asked, no quarter given. It needs to happen...NOW. Either you are for the survival and prosperity of the earth and all it's species, or you are against. No excuses, no bail-outs, no slow leaking reform, no 1/2 measures, no Mickey mouse, mamby pamby, do not pass go bullshit. It's not the color of a man's skin thing, or a religious thing, or a political thing, or a sex thing, or a money thing. It's a universal death thing. A universal death thing don't give a fuck about any of this. It's just the end, for all of us. Period.

Regardless, these ideals, once so proudly embraced and pushed forward by a great nation of bold patriots, facilitated by truth, justice and the noblest aspirations of man, have now become the manifest opposite: A oligarchic plutocracy ruled by amoral corporate and financial tyrants whose most prominent values and core ideals are comprised of, and beholden too, classism, xenophobia, greed, gluttony, corruption, oppression, persecution, vanity, hatred, deceit, racism, fear, mistrust, misogyny, elitism, war, violence and the complete and abject slavery, starvation and poverty of the global masses. In 240 years, this has become our legacy and the standing ideals and aspirations of a “great” nation. This is our "mantra". This is our great “democracy”. This is our reality. These truths, more than ever, are now self evident. We are controlled by a ruling corporate elite whose only motivation is profit, self preservation and world domination. They don't give a fuck about you, they don't give a fuck about America, and they certainly don't give a fuck about the world. It's just a big asshole they can fuck until hell freezes over or mother nature wipes us all out in big bang of cosmic rebellion, disgust and heavenly justice.

How can we, as human beings, as Americans, allow this to continue? How can we stand behind the ideals of equality, justice and truth, while we continue to willingly perpetuate the methods of our suffering and bondage? We, as citizens, are to blame! We have allowed ourselves to become a nation of placated, duped and complicit slaves. Until we fully embrace and acknowledge our fundamental ignorance, flaws, unwillingness to act and blind complacency, then evolve and reimagine the revolutionary and philosophical dictums of our forefathers and greatest humanistic philosophers, we will continue to be slaves that will only bear the fruit of our most indecent ignorance and folly: The complete domination, subjugation and destruction of ALL life on earth for profit, and our human spirit, crushed and annihilated by false gods and the masters of the universe we so stupidly and cowardly abide.

Back to my point. To paraphrase, “Those that do not remember history, are condemned to repeat it”. So, in honor of our nations Independence Day, I’d like to post the pre-amble to the ‘Declaration Of Independence’, lest we forget:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.--Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government”.

It's time for a serious wake up call America! It's time for action. Like Elvis, god has left the building, and he won't be coming back. I love my country, and as a patriot, I can no longer suffer "the slings and arrows" of her outrageous fortune, nor watch her cry out in anguish while she is violently raped by a faceless and cruel enemy, whose sole purpose is to bleed her and her children dry.

I know I should really be watching glorious firework displays, singing America’s praises, enjoying a hamburger and a cold beer in celebration of this great day, but…I’m not. Honestly, the truth is, it sickens me. I’m not ashamed to be an American...It’s worse...I dread it.
